In 1996 as the then director of Prison Fellowship in Scotland I was introduced to Frank Costantino, the president of Bridges of America, Christian Prison Ministries USA and COPE. He shared his fourfold vision of Prison Evangelism, Prison Book Ministry, Addiction Counselling and Aftercare. This vision and my own were identical so after 10 years with Prison Fellowship I left and established Christian Prison Ministries, Scotland as a charitable trust with Jack McConnochie as chairman.

Our vision is so be a recourse to the body of Christ and we are involved in all the above areas:- in both prison and psychiatric hospitals; with aftercare thru' primarily our drop-in centers; with evangelism thro' books, Ephesians 4 Ministries; Overcomers Addiction Programme both in and out of prison'; representing COPE in Scotland.

We have an excellent band of volunteers throughout Scotland and produce a quarterly newsletter. Our administrator is Anne McLean of Airdrie who co-ordinates all the work.
