Visit of 25 COPE Members to Lindsey State Jail in Jacksborough Texas
More pics.
Like the above says we are now recognised as official this is a new beginning so we will begin to look at setting up COPE UK in the New Year.
ANNE asked me to write something for the web - site, maybe a thought from our trip to America, or something about COPE UK. Well, I was on my way to town for some new guitar strings today, and God put this word into my mind -INTEGRITY. I love looking at words like this. I think I know what it means, but I want to make sure. My dictionary says that integrity is the quality of having high moral principles, and also the quality of being united. Psalm 119 verse 1 says "Happy are people of integrity, who follow the law of the
Lord." I just want to say that we were blessed abundantly
on our trip. God surrounded us with men and women of
integrity from start to finish. I promise that COPE UK will
be full of men and women of integrity.

Visit to Bowhouse prison. A group from Time Square church in
New York joined our group on the Tuesday/Wednesday
of the week 9th-14th November. They were from a bigger group of 230 Americans who came to do outreach in the town of Greenock. During their visit to the prison we saw the lives of the men touched by their testimony and through the sharing of God's word. Some of our men made a commitment to Jesus. We thank Gerry and his team for their willingness to come and minister in our prisons. From all our team. Thanks We had planned to do a Prison Invasion into the prison in November which did not happen, however we can now look on this visit as an invasion. |
